U11 training

The Saturday U11 Clarets lost narrowly to Westwood Park this weekend. The Blues match was postponed at short notice but there was a great turnout for training. Both teams will be involved in the League Tournament after half-term.

There was a bit of symmetry about the performances on a very hot morning at Woodside.

The Blues made a very slow start against a strong Iver Patriots but heads didn’t drop and the finish to the game was excellent. Clarets dominated the start against Kings Church but had to hang on for a narrow victory in the end.

Thanks to our regular catering team and the parents/grandparents for their support.DC4A4653 B146 426B A9C8 6C04EBB082F0

The pitches should have finally dried out for a double header at home next week. Clarets against St James, Blues verses Kings Church.

Well done to the Clarets who fought really hard to win at last season‘s League Champions St James thanks to Harry’s early goal.

It was a really physical battle but everybody worked incredibly hard to seal the victory - even without Phil’s guidance from the touchline !
